Summary:

Twelve-year-old Annie Lamms parents have decided she should spend the summer with her Grandpa Donald while they enjoy a second honeymoon. Annie is less than enthused, and even more disappointed to discover that Grandpas beautiful house on the beach is a dilapidated wreck filled with a lifetime of junk and clutter. With no friends, no computer and nothing good to eat, Annie is miserable and decides to run-away back to her home in New York City. But fate -- and Grandpa -- intervene and show Annie that there s much more to life than shopping or internet blog sites. She learns the real value of family and friends and learns to see beyond the surface of life.
